Safe and Unsafe Touch

A mom talking warmly with a girl and a boy on a porch swing

Big Idea

Safe and Unsafe Touch: Safe touches (hugs from family when you want them, high-fives), unsafe touches, and how to tell the difference.

Story time

One morning at the kitchen table with a parent, Clara and Sam talked about “safe and unsafe touch.” Kids who know body-safety rules are safer and know how to get help. Clara said, “Let's try it today!” Sam smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!
