No Secrets, Only Surprises

A mom talking warmly with a girl and a boy on a porch swing

Big Idea

No Secrets, Only Surprises: Surprises are happy and get told soon. Secrets that make you uncomfortable must be told.

Story time

One morning at the kitchen table with a parent, Owen and Lily talked about “no secrets, only surprises.” Kids who know body-safety rules are safer and know how to get help. Owen said, “Let's try it today!” Lily smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
