Privacy Policy

JJRave collects as little information as possible and never sells it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, how long we keep it, and your choices. Children's information is covered in more detail in our Children's Privacy Notice.

What we collect from parents

• Email address: when you buy, join the parent email list, or sign in. We use it to deliver downloads, send sign-in links and receipts, and (only if you opted in) send the free printable each week.
• Order details from Stripe: what you bought, the amount, the date, and Stripe's customer and payment IDs. Stripe also handles your name and billing details on its checkout page; we never receive or store card numbers.
• Co-op name, if you buy a co-op license.
• Account settings you choose for learner profiles (time limits, topics, on/off).

What we collect about learners (children)

Only what a parent enters and what the AI Tutor needs to work: a nickname (no real full names), an age band, lesson progress and quiz scores, session dates and minutes, whether a grown-up double-checked, routine checklist ticks, and short excerpts of any message our safety filters flagged for the parent (kept 30 days). We do not collect photos, voice recordings, locations, school names, addresses, phone numbers or contact details from children, and our filters block children from typing them.

AI questions

Questions typed into the AI Helper or AI Tutor are sent to our AI provider to create an answer, together with the lesson being studied. We never send the learner's nickname, your email or any other identifier to the AI provider. We do not keep the text of conversations. We keep counts of questions and the AI cost per day (linked to a scrambled one-way code, not your email) to enforce fair-use limits, and we may keep a safe, anonymous answer to a common question so the next child gets it faster.

Technical information

To protect the site from abuse we keep a one-way scrambled version of IP addresses (never the raw address) for rate limits and the AI Helper's free-try counter, and normal server logs for up to 30 days. We use no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, and no social media pixels. See the Cookie Notice for the few cookies we use.

Who helps us (processors)

• Stripe: payments, receipts and subscription billing.
• Our web host: runs the site, database and email delivery in the United States.
• Our AI model provider: generates AI Helper and AI Tutor answers from filtered text with no names or account details attached. Its servers may be outside the United States.

We share information with no one else, except when the law requires it or to protect a child's safety.

How long we keep it

• Orders and receipts: as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally 7 years).
• Download records and scrambled IP rate-limit data: 30 days.
• Flagged-message excerpts: 30 days. Tutor sessions and progress: 1 year, or until you delete them.
• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Learner profiles: until you delete them or ask us to close your account.

Your choices and rights

You can view and delete each learner's tutor data, or the whole profile, any time in My account. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email support@jjrave.com; we answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or port your data and to object to processing; we honor these requests for everyone, and we never discriminate against anyone for using them.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed and expiring download links, one-time sign-in links, least-privilege database accounts, and regular backups. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly.

We will post any change here with a new date, and email members about important changes.
