Caring for Plants

Big Idea
Caring for Plants: Water the roots, pull weeds, and check leaves every day.
Story time
One morning at the sunny vegetable patch behind the farmhouse, Clara and Sam talked about “caring for plants.” Kids who grow food love to eat it, and they learn patience and care. Clara said, “Let's try it today!” Sam smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
Plant a bean seed in a clear cup with damp paper towel and soil. Put it on a sunny windowsill, keep it damp, and draw what you see every two days.
