Why Your Body Needs Water

Big Idea
Why Your Body Needs Water: Water helps your heart pump, keeps you cool and helps you think clearly.
Story time
One morning at the farmhouse kitchen with a big pitcher of water, Lily and Ben talked about “why your body needs water.” Water keeps kids cool, focused and full of energy. Lily said, “Let's try it today!” Ben smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
Make fruit-slice water with a grown-up: wash a lemon, a cucumber and a few strawberries, let a grown-up slice them, drop them into a pitcher of cold water and chill it for an hour. Then color a cup on your water chart for every glass you drink today.
