Water Beats Sugary Drinks

Big Idea

Water Beats Sugary Drinks: Plain water and milk are the best drinks, and sugary drinks give a quick buzz but no real fuel.

Story time

One morning at the farmhouse kitchen with a big pitcher of water, Finn and Clara talked about “water beats sugary drinks.” Water keeps kids cool, focused and full of energy. Finn said, “Let's try it today!” Clara smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Make fruit-slice water with a grown-up: wash a lemon, a cucumber and a few strawberries, let a grown-up slice them, drop them into a pitcher of cold water and chill it for an hour. Then color a cup on your water chart for every glass you drink today.
