Big Idea

Helping at Home: Setting the table, feeding animals, folding laundry and tidying up together.

Story time

One morning at the porch of a neighbor's farmhouse, Lily and Ben talked about “helping at home.” Kind kids make homes and neighborhoods happier, and helping feels good. Lily said, “Let's try it today!” Ben smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Do one kind thing every day this week, like helping set the table, sharing a snack or writing a thank-you note. Each time, put a slip in a kindness jar and read them together on Sunday.
