Trees and Leaves

Big Idea
Trees and Leaves: Oak, maple, pine and birch, and how to tell them apart.
Story time
One morning at the forest trail past the meadow, Lily and Ben talked about “trees and leaves.” Fresh air and nature help kids feel calm, curious and healthy. Lily said, “Let's try it today!” Ben smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
Go on a 20-minute nature walk with a grown-up (cap, long sleeves and water on). Find something you can see, hear, smell and gently touch, then draw your favorite find in a nature journal.
