Goats on the Farm

Big Idea
Goats on the Farm: Goats eat hay and browse on plants, need shelter, and love to climb.
Story time
One morning at the farmyard at morning chore time, Owen and Lily talked about “goats on the farm.” Caring for animals teaches kids gentleness, patience and responsibility. Owen said, “Let's try it today!” Lily smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
With a grown-up, make a chore chart for one animal you know (a hen, a goat, a rabbit or a sheep). List its food, water and clean-home jobs, and check them off for a week. Wash your hands with soap after every chore.
