Why Homeschool

A family walking a meadow path, with a basket of books and apples and sheep in the distance

Big Idea

Families homeschool so the day can bend around the child: the hard subjects, the family table, and a few healthy habits.

What families use the flexibility for

  • Put breakfast, movement, and sleep around the lessons that take the most attention.
  • Teach family values at home, in ordinary jobs and conversations.
  • Stay with a skill until it is learned, instead of rushing to the next page.
  • Add one healthy habit at a time from the free JJRave sections.

You do not need every section in the first month. Pick the habit that would help this child this season. The curriculum page shows how to set that beside another program.

Try it!

Parents: name one reason you are homeschooling, and one habit section that serves that reason. Read its first lesson this week.

Quick check

  1. What do you want the day to make room for?
  2. Which habit will you add first?
  3. What will you leave for a later month?
