Listen to Your Body

A girl pouring lemon and cucumber water from a glass pitcher into a boy's glass at a sunny kitchen counter

Big Idea

Listen to Your Body: Thirst, tiredness, a headache or dark-yellow pee are signs to drink some water.

Story time

One morning at the farmhouse kitchen with a big pitcher of water, Ben and Hazel talked about “listen to your body.” Water keeps kids cool, focused and full of energy. Ben said, “Let's try it today!” Hazel smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Make fruit-slice water with a grown-up: wash a lemon, a cucumber and a few strawberries, let a grown-up slice them, drop them into a pitcher of cold water and chill it for an hour. Then color a cup on your water chart for every glass you drink today.
