Big Idea

Good Listening: Eyes, ears and patience.

Story time

One morning at the co-op picnic on the farm lawn, Ben and Hazel talked about “good listening.” Social skills help kids make friends, solve problems and include others. Ben said, “Let's try it today!” Hazel smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Practice a hello: look up, smile, say your name, and ask one question, like 'What's your favorite fruit?'
