Gratitude

Two kids bringing an apple basket to a smiling elderly neighbor at her garden gate

Big Idea

Gratitude: Thank-you notes and a gratitude jar.

Story time

One morning at the garden bench, Clara and Sam talked about “gratitude.” Honest, kind kids build trust with the people around them. Clara said, “Let's try it today!” Sam smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Make a promise you can keep this week, like feeding the hens with a grown-up each morning, and check it off every day.
