Why Reading Matters

Big Idea
Why Reading Matters: Reading builds your brain, your words and your imagination.
Story time
One morning at the reading quilt under the shade tree, Finn and Clara talked about “why reading matters.” Readers grow strong minds, big imaginations and a lifelong love of learning. Finn said, “Let's try it today!” Clara smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
