Big Idea

Music Helps Memory: Songs to learn facts, and rhythm for counting.

Story time

One morning at the living room by the piano, Hazel and Finn talked about “music helps memory.” Making music and art trains memory and focus, and it's joyful. Hazel said, “Let's try it today!” Finn smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Clap a rhythm, then sing it back with a grown-up. Make a shaker from a jar and dry beans and play along.
