Big Idea

Walking and Hiking: Family walks, nature hikes, and trail safety.

Story time

One morning at the hillside path, Sam and Rosie talked about “walking and hiking.” Moving every day builds a strong heart, strong bones and a happy mood for a long, healthy life. Sam said, “Let's try it today!” Rosie smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Do the 5-move mix: 5 jumping jacks, a 10-second plank, 5 slow stretches, a short sprint to a tree and back, and 5 calm breaths.
