Farm Helpers

A girl watering plants and a boy picking tomatoes beside a coin jar, with a hen and a rabbit nearby

Big Idea

Farm Helpers: The hen lays eggs, the cow gives milk, bees make honey, the sheepdog herds sheep. They are working animals, not pets or friends.

Story time

One morning at the vegetable garden and farm stand, Finn and Clara talked about “farm helpers.” Money, home and garden skills build responsibility and independence. Finn said, “Let's try it today!” Clara smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Make three jars labeled Save, Spend and Share. Each time you get coins, split them between the jars.
