Good Guest, Good Host

A family at a sunny dinner table, a girl and a boy passing a bowl of salad while mom holds a bread basket and dad smiles

Big Idea

Good Guest, Good Host: Greet guests, offer a drink of water, share and help tidy up.

Story time

One morning at the family dinner table, Owen and Lily talked about “good guest, good host.” Good manners show respect, and good habits make every day easier. Owen said, “Let's try it today!” Lily smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Practice the magic words all day: please, thank you, excuse me and sorry. At dinner, everyone shares one time they used a magic word today.
