Big Idea

Kind Words Matter: Say please, thank you, good job and how can I help.

Story time

One morning at the porch of a neighbor's farmhouse, Ben and Hazel talked about “kind words matter.” Kind kids make homes and neighborhoods happier, and helping feels good. Ben said, “Let's try it today!” Hazel smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Do one kind thing every day this week, like helping set the table, sharing a snack or writing a thank-you note. Each time, put a slip in a kindness jar and read them together on Sunday.
