Big Idea

Why Fresh Air Feels Good: Time outdoors helps kids feel calm, sleep better and notice more.

Story time

One morning at the forest trail past the meadow, Clara and Sam talked about “why fresh air feels good.” Fresh air and nature help kids feel calm, curious and healthy. Clara said, “Let's try it today!” Sam smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.

Try it!

Go on a 20-minute nature walk with a grown-up (cap, long sleeves and water on). Find something you can see, hear, smell and gently touch, then draw your favorite find in a nature journal.
