My Nature Journal

Big Idea
My Nature Journal: Draw, write and collect what you notice on each walk.
Story time
One morning at the forest trail past the meadow, Ben and Hazel talked about “my nature journal.” Fresh air and nature help kids feel calm, curious and healthy. Ben said, “Let's try it today!” Hazel smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
Go on a 20-minute nature walk with a grown-up (cap, long sleeves and water on). Find something you can see, hear, smell and gently touch, then draw your favorite find in a nature journal.
