Measuring and Following a Recipe: Read the recipe first, gather the ingredients and measure carefully.
Story time
One morning at the farmhouse kitchen table, Clara and Sam talked about “measuring and following a recipe.” Cooking together teaches kids healthy food, kitchen safety and real-life skills. Clara said, “Let's try it today!” Sam smiled and said, “Let's do it together.” By the end of the day, they both felt proud of the healthy choice they made.
Try it!
Make a rainbow fruit skewer snack with a grown-up: wash your hands, wash the fruit, let a grown-up cut it, then slide the pieces onto a skewer in rainbow order and share them with your family.
