What our AI is

The AI Helper and the AI Tutor are computer programs. They are not people, not alive, have no feelings, and are not your child's friend. Every screen says so, and the tutor repeats the reminder during sessions. They use a large language model from a third-party AI model, wrapped in JJRave's own safety system.

How we keep it safe

  1. An input filter blocks personal information, unsafe topics and trick questions before anything reaches the AI.
  2. The AI follows strict child-safety rules first: G-rated content, healthy foods only, no romance, no scary or spiritual claims, no phone numbers or links, and short, kind answers.
  3. It also follows the owner's locked set of 256 protocols for honest, non-manipulative AI (for example: no pretending to have feelings, no false urgency, no pressure, no fake authority, and respect for each person's own judgment). These rules are fingerprinted and cannot be edited.
  4. Code-based rules and a second AI reviewer check every answer; if anything fails, the child sees a gentle "let's talk about something else" message instead.
  5. If a child says someone is hurting them, the AI is skipped entirely and the child sees: "If someone hurts you, tell someone you trust, and keep telling until they help."

What the AI Tutor does

It teaches through the site's real lessons: it gives hints and guiding questions instead of just answers, offers short quizzes, math practice and a healthy-routine checklist, and reminds children to double-check with a grown-up. Parents see progress, a session log, flagged items, time limits, topic controls and an off switch.

Limits

AI can be wrong. Answers are general education, not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. A grown-up should supervise and check important answers. AI-made answers are never used in our printables, and our lesson text and art are reviewed by a person before publishing.
